February Events: Art in the Park (Feb 19) and Invisible Collection (Feb 23)
February 14, 2011 under Events.
We are inviting you to our two exciting events this February!
First, Invisible Sisters are going to be in the Art in the Park on February 19, 2011, where we will be displaying unique items created by women and Ann Wizer herself. Invisible will also be selling artwork and bags at good prices.
Art-in-the-Park is an annual art fair organized by the Museum Foundation of the Philippines which brings affordable art out of galleries. Other participants include UP Fine Arts, UST Fine Arts, L’Arc en Ciel, Nova Art Gallery, Tara Soriano, and other artists and galleries. Proceeds from the event will go to the Foundation’s programs in promoting art and its network.
Art in the Park will be held in Jaime Velasquez Park, Salcedo Village, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 2pm to 10 pm.

Next, we’re kicking off the Invisible Collection on February 23, 2011 at the Ayala Museum. Invisible Collection is the launch of our partnership with Ayala Foundation, Philippine Plastics Industry Association (PPIA), Ayala Malls, Ayala Land, and Ayala Property Management Corporation in environmental conservation and poverty alleviation through the collection and recycling of plastic bags.
Due to the success of our pilot bin in Glorietta which has collected more than 6,000 plastic bags in three months, the cooperation will add 13 more bins to be strategically placed as collection stations in Metro Manila. These new bins will be located at different Ayala Malls and Ayala Residences, while Ayala Foundation will be assisting in the collection. Plastics collected will either help the production of our Invisible Sisters or be collected by PPIA for recycling.
The Invisible Collection starts at 6PM, on the 23rd of February, at the Ayala Museum (near Greenbelt 3 and Greenbelt 5).
Both Art in the Park and the Invisible Collection are open to everyone! We hope to see you there!
